tribal costuming means never having to say "too much" . . . right?
Buying weird lots on ebay sometimes means you get a ring that could easily double as a weapon--if its weapon function doesn't preclude the ring one entirely.

It fits two of my fingers--at once--or my big toe. [info]zen_of_nihilism recommends I tie a rope to it and use it on people.

Ever gotten supremely, violently, curled-into-a-ball-fuck-you-I'm-not-moving sick from water from a just-broken water main? Yeah, I hadn't either. This sucks. ETA: Or it may just be an ulcer. D: ETA2: . . . Na, it looks like it was bacterial. Eew.

... And I'm so sorry to hear about the water poisoning!! I hope boiling it stops it in the future, but in the meantime, lots of healing vibes sent your way!

Yeah, I think I understand now why some people will only drink bottled water. I know I'm not gonna touch the tap stuff for a good while. But in the meantime, the boy got me some pepto so now my stomach cramps in shades of pink. :P

(Isn't it strange how it's always medicines that taste like their colors?)

I'm getting better, it seems--a healthy diet of pepto and vitamin water isn't hurting, at least--though I still kinda look like death warmed over. Hopefully by tomorrow all will be well. :P

I'm so sorry!!! I don't get nauseous much, but I did a few years ago and the only thing that I'd eaten was a who-knows-how-old cup of water (open). So, I think I might know how you feel. It really sucks. (So now I won't touch glasses of water older than a few hours... though it was more like a few weeks/months. I am such a moron sometimes). Good luck, though. Pepto bismal is a very strange medicine... I hope it keeps working.

That ring, on the other hand, looks absolutely amazing. Not very functional though. I think it would fit on my entire hand. O_O

Feel better!

My one douchebag manager tried to tell me it could be any number of things and any number of foods when I don't react to bad food this way, ever, & when the water from the faucet went extremely weird right after I got out. He'd just tried to convince me it was contagious a minute before. He's an idiot and I would've thrown up on him if I hadn't stopped that on Tuesday. :P

I'm still not sure what I'm gonna do with the ring. I'll prolly solder the one wire back on, clean it up a little, and see if I can sell it.

Wow.
Water problems suck. When I was little, a company pumped chemicals into our water pump and turned our water poisonous (for all intents and purposes). We were lucky no one drank it. Pipes had to be stripped and everything.

Good luck with the ring. It'd make an awesome door-knocker.

Yikes! That chemical thing's a special kind of awful. How'd that work, anyway?

We moved to and lived in a hotel for a week or so. (I was a toddler, but I remember this because I'd thought it was so cool to get to "play" in a hotel). There was a law suit, and my parents wound up getting the company to buy and fix up the house while we moved (for good).

We think the water messed up my mom's skin some, because she was washing her face at the time. Also, afterwards I apparently went from calm, docile (perfect ;)) toddler to hyper and bouncing off the walls. The fumes, maybe?
