And I was good for so many years now . . .
So I got hit by a bus today. :P

I am alive and unsquished, and my shiny silver Steve is drivable if significantly dented. The bus lost some paint. Basically I was trying to get from the left lane to the right, the SUV in front of me slammed on its brakes, I slammed on my brakes & fishtailed a little (and missed the SUV by inches at most) and the bus clipped my passenger side. I haven't tried to open my passenger door and probably won't try anytime soon.

I'd like to think it won't, but I ph34r this shall end expensively.

	It was a touring bus at least, so it's not gonna be the same sort of blood-from-a-stone situation as it'd be if I'd been clipped by a PATransit one. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Holy cow; it's a good thing you came out of it unharmed... hugs you Shit like that happens - my mom and I nearly died last week when a truck nearly rammed into us. 	Welp, if the insurance companies screw me over I only have to pay 1k for my deductible. That'd blow but I can work with it--but then I have no idea how much my insurance will jump. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Meep! I'm really glad to hear you're ok. Honestly, car accidents are one of the most terrifying things to have to deal with regardless of the level of damage. Good luck with getting the car fixed; I know that's such a pain :-/ (Reply to this) (Thread)

	Yeep. Insurance companies really suck. My sweetheart's mom & sister were recently in a wreck with someone who was not insured (the uninsured was clearly at fault). So in order for the sister to get medical treatment paid for, she has to actually file suit against her mother/mother's insurance company. Crazy, fucked-up hoops to jump through.
